The Client

Plaza Volcán is a unique dining and entertainment complex perched on the slopes of San Salvador Volcano. The venue houses multiple restaurants, botanical gardens, event spaces, and panoramic viewpoints, a multi-sensory experience that attracts both locals and tourists.

The Challenge

Despite being a well-known local landmark, Plaza Volcán had no website. Visitors relied on word of mouth and social media for basic information like operating hours, restaurant menus, and directions. The venue needed a digital presence that communicated the atmosphere and scale of the location while providing practical visitor information.

The Approach

We designed an imagery-rich website that leads with the visual impact of the location. Full-screen photography of the volcanic setting, botanical gardens, and dining areas establishes the atmosphere before any text is read. The navigation structure mirrors how visitors experience the venue: arrival and directions, dining options, gardens and nature, and events.

The Solution

The delivered site features immersive hero sections with drone and landscape photography, individual restaurant pages with menus and reservation information, a botanical garden section with species highlights, an events page for private dining and celebrations, and integrated Google Maps directions. The CMS lets administrators update restaurant details, event availability, gallery images, and seasonal menu changes independently.

Website-driven visits accounted for 20% of new customer traffic in the first quarter. The site's directions page became the most visited section, reducing "how do I get there" calls to the venue by an estimated 35%. Restaurant menu page views correlated with a 15% increase in weekday dinner reservations. The botanical garden section attracted attention from local tourism boards, leading to inclusion in 2 official tourism guides.
